How to buy more time for your life

The Power of Gratitude: Thoughts of the future do not fill the future, they only can fill this moment. When you have thoughts of gratitude about what is happening right now, your experience of time is expanded in a restful, fulfilling way.
You can buy more time for your life with gratitude.

I have the right to take time to learn a better way for a healthier life and the responsibility to take time to share it with others.–New Thought, Right Action

Dear reader, by the time you have completed reading this post you may spend about two minutes of your life in exchange for it. I thank you for this decision in reading this blog. By the time I am finished writing, editing, finding appropriate photos/memes for this post, I may have spent at least an hour of my life on these tasks. My intention for this post is to share with you how to buy more time for your life.

A woman doing the dishes. "When you don't know what or who else to turn to, you can always turn to doing dishes. Dishes will always be there for you.

We exchange a valuable commodity in this brief interaction–our time. Our energy could easily be spent on any number of other tasks or experiences. Instead of writing this blog, I could have taken up a different interest of collecting stamps or learning parasailing. I could be completing household chores, such as the dishes. I do not mind letting the dishes set for awhile…

What are your choices?

Instead of reading this post you could be involved in something else you enjoy or need to get completed. I sincerely thank you for your generosity.

Yet, we are here in a staggered time arrangement exchanging our lives for a brief encounter through this post.

As I write this, I am deeply thinking of you, the anonymous reader. Unless you make your presence known in someway by liking or commenting on this post, I cannot forecast who is here with me. So, whoever you are, thank you for being with me in this moment. As a way to express my gratitude for your generosity, I invite you to fill out the contact form and I will give you a free telephone session on any mental wellness matter for which you would like to develop insight and clarity.

Writing in Gratitude

Topics for these articles are based on what is revealed to me during my meditation time. Yesterday, when I took my dog, Pepper, for a meditation walk, the title and the topic of this post emerged. It came as a general theme without specifics tied to it other than the title. The details are being fleshed out as I am writing it at this moment.

boy with dog. I hope to someday grow up to be the kind of person my dog already thinks I am.
Love the animals! They are the best example of gratitude.

Why was it this topic? I think this topic came to mind as I was so in the moment with my dog and experiencing profound gratitude for this living being who has walked with me and rested her head on my lap through many situations in the past few years. I felt the suspension of time in that experience of gratitude. It felt like I had all the time in the world in that moment with my dog, Pepper.

Gratitude expands time

The suspension of time isn’t related to Pepper, except I feel gratitude for Pepper fairly regularly. Instead it was the gratitude which stopped time in its tracks and allowed me to feel eternal. Because of this experience, I felt compelled to write about it and share it with you. If you choose to experience gratitude today, how and with whom will you share it?

In gratitude,
